Hello
i can get a leica R summilux 50mm 1.4 for 350euros, it was build in 70's, It is is very good condition.
Did it worth it ? I will use it on sony a7.

I'm asking that because i have the summilux r 35mm and i prefere the contax 35mm 1.4 more, and summicron too.

i got a contax planar 50mm 1.4 who i like for it sharpness already wide open and compacity.

Did some one try the summilux or both (planar) ?

Thanks & Best regards
Al

Yes and no.

The latest version is (of course depending on personal preference) better than the Planar 1.4/50, the early version is not.

Very different character specially wide open.
I would take the Summilux just because I love it's swirly bokeh and I don't like the Planar bokeh at all. For landscapes and infinity shots I prefer the Zeiss warm colors.
