Dears,
i need your opinion regarding a ZEISS Luminar 63mm/0,1 listed for sale in a on a local forum for 30 Eur.

https://photo-forum.net/index.php?APP_ACTION=BAZAR&request=view&id=99833

Can it be used as a taking lens on m4/3 or Nex or it is just specialized macro with high magnification?
Is it worth the asking price?

Any samples pictures will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

IF and only IF you are able to clean away that fungus (?), it is a huge BARGAIN as those sell for above 300!!!

You would need a focusing helicoid and a RMS adapter for it, as it has that microscope standard RMS thread. Will cost about as much as that offered lens Very Happy

And yes, it is a specialized macro lens, but can be used as taking lens by reversing it (which hardly anyone knows). Bit tricky, as it has no front threads, but doable.

I don't know if it's fungus, but that would be my main concern.

So strictly macro, or it can be used for general photography - let say portraits?

I mean will the register distance and image circle size be enough to focus past 1-2 meters .
And what focal length it will be ?

PS i have found more info on Marco Cavina website.
Seems like there is coverage, and enough register distance but curvature of the field is very pronounced, so most probably only good for macro (2-10x magnification)
