I am playing with old Nikon glass and I must say I really like it. It feels quite different yet again from other lenses I have tried.
Kinda warm and gentle yet still impressive performance and detail when needed.

Some examples:

This one went straight into my "Florian Traveller" book project. No PP at all.


A graveyard in the UK at dusk


Leaves


Leaves in Black and White

The Nikkor 2/85 only exist is AI/AIS mount. Can you show us a photo of your lens?

I probably goofed there, as I just assumed it was non/pre AI as it doesn't say AI on the lens... Smile

It can be pretty easy to confuse the version of Nikon mount as it has long history. Here is pretty much everything you will need if you are in doubt.
