Just saw this on canonrumors, thought I had to share it.

From a practical standpoint, the Sigma 200-500mm F2.8 APO EX DG plus the accompanying 2X teleconverter is probably a good alternative. Cool
From a standpoint of total insanity, the Canon lens is better. Mr. Green
