Ok so i just received this Glass. Thought it was in M42 mount but was mistaken (it's m39). Meanwhile my m39 to m42 adapter ring is gone places, so i had to order new. And before that adapter comes through, any opinions on this glass? What am i looking at here? I dug up some info and i know these lenses were made in early to mid 50s, and Kilfitt rigorously tested each individual lens before they went on for sell. So my assumption is that quality should be good to great. Also see that these fetch pretty high prices on ebay- but not sure if there's demand for it. But most importantly, are these LTM M39s or can they be adapted on canon EF?

Any input is appreciated. Smile

The lens you have are designed use directly on a Kilfitt Kilarflex reflex housing. Kilfitt made adapter for other camera but they are expensive now. If your lens does not have an adapter attached, You need an M42 extension around 46/47mm to use it on a M42 to EOS adapter. You might find M42 helicoids helpful if you cannot find tubes of exact length.

That's good to know it's not LTM. I can mount it to pentax bellows.

How is their quality & IQ?

I think Your Lens has a helicoid, So You only need adater & distance rings.

From some samples from the web, it looks the bokeh is pretty good to me. You should shows us some of your photos when you get the adapter. Wink
