Yes, the Nikon Dc Nikkor lenses are quite good for Trioplan like images - and additional normal bokeh and soft bokeh as well. Or Trioplan Bokeh in foreground.
I have made a bokeh comparison between several soap bokeh lenses.

I suppose most Nikon DC owners did´t know that this lens is such universal - casue at least in some languanges the manual reccomend no such settings.

The Trioplan / Nikon / Diaplan / Primotar comparison is relativly new. And the navigation is not very good on my site.

The DC Nikkor is the single AF lens I like to use - on my Canon EOS, so no AF.
I even like its build quality, focus feeling is not great, but I can work well enough with it.
I found mine with a fall-defect, on AF cameras the near distance doesn´t work well as far as I know. And it has a bend filter ring.
