The old Contax/Sonnar combo sure resolves things... a lot of the street shots are drive by out an open car window. Rodinal 1+35, Epson 4490. Levels, sometimes cropping, and .3 x 170% sharpening in photoshop.

Your shots, especially the first two, are dazzling.
Just saw this post, as I finished developing two rolls of Tri-X in Rodinal, at 1:64 for 16 minutes. The negatives, on roll #1 were shot with an original Konica Auto-Reflex with a Hexanon 50mm macro lens, are both half-frame and full frame.
The second roll was shot on an Olympus Pen Ft, with the 24mm Zuiko, and a 135mm Schneider Xenar f3.5 via an Exakta adapter.
The negatives look gorgeous.
I think your post is a selling point for Rodinal as being THE developer for Tri-X. I'm rather excited now to get into the darkroom!
Unfortunately, it won't happen until next weekend but your shots have me rather excited, to say the least! _________________ If you prefer "I think, therefore I am" to "non sum qualis eram", you are putting Descartes before Horace. |

For a partially overcast daylight, the Rodinal+Tri-X combo just rocks!

Thank you
But Rodinal is fun and I do like the results, I haven't bothered to mix up a new batch of D-76 for a while.
The thing that got me interested (apart from all the Rodinal / stand developers around here) was this article

Thanks! Yes, Renato, I work in Jersey City and commute via Hoboken, so I tend to take these shots quite a bit _________________ -Jussi
