I have had a couple of these lenses for a while and have hardly used them because I thought they were
a little too small and difficult to use. However, I was thinking about buying a 3.5/50 Tessar and since the Industar
is modeled after the Tessar I thought I should give it a test. I was pleasantly surprised.
Contrast added.

I like the industar lens,it never disappoints.I am not sure of how many different industars there are, but they all seem to do ok taking an image. Very Happy
What mount is this one?

This is an M42 mount, made in 1973 judging by the serial number. This one is a black "50-2".

they are the worst, or the best kept secret.

The f3.5 aperture has kept the try hards away from them me thinks. Laughing

I started my mflens career with Industars. They are lots of fun for a small amount of money for sure. Nice pictures! Very Happy

Yes, they're kind of dark. Also the aperture ring is unusually placed. Not for fat fingers. Rolling Eyes
But cheap! Very Happy

Very nice photos. Cheap and good. And some may also like the small size.

I haven't used mine for ages, I don't why, but I will take it out again shortly. I like the little Industar, a great lens. Cool
