Hello everybody,

I recently acquired an early Tair-11 with serial 000, so I thought it could be interesting to share some sample as comparaison :

Nahh this is terrible you will have to box it up and send it to me, I shall carefully dispose of this so no more of these pictures can be inflicted upon anybody Very Happy

Nope in all seriousness a great series, the picture of the red leaf displays the creamy bokeh that the Tair can perform, I really want a Tair 11A but i am not willing to pay the prices that they seem to go for.

I like number 7. That's a nice shot in my opinion. The large red had on the girl really stands out and framing is very quirky.

You certainly mean "leading 000" serial number? Nice results you got.

Very nice. I've been wanting to pick up one of these silver 133mm 18 blade versions to see if there's any difference with mine (black 11A, 135mm, 20 blades, 00 SN).

Very nice work with a great lens. One of my top 5 lenses and probably favorite bokeh lens. The Datsun 240Z brought back fond memories of my first new car.

Whats the difference between the regular version and the Brussels Grand Prix version? Just the markings or more than that?

Sorry, I only now saw that you write on this topik.
No difference between grand prix and other alu version (as far as I know)

Absolutely right. Images from most lenses are difficult to differentiate, but Tair has a special IQ.

Sorry to hijack your thread.

I have my first tair 11. I use it on my NEX-6 with an L39 adapter. However, here is what I get on both focus ends:

Is the adapter the problem?

Yes, it's SLR lens, you need M42 adapter, and ring m39 to m42.
What you have here is adapter for LTM mount.

Shouldn't I get an M39 to M42 ring instead of M42 to M39 from your link.

step-up ring? well, you could use it with a macro ring, but I'm far to be sure that focal flange will be ok.
I think it will be more convenient to use M42 to Nex + little ring 39 to 42

I think adapter is proper one just naming has error , you can screw this adapter to your lens M39 mount it will extend it to M42 diameter and give proper film register distance , lens is rare with this early serial, if you get bored I will love to buy it. I collect early Russian stuff.

Thanks for the clarification.

Attila, I am not the OP, I do not have a 000 serial, mine has two 00.
