Very nice Bernhardas.

The Trioplan is known for its crazy bokeh.
But, closed down, it is also a very good and sharp lens.

Very nice picture.
The background is really beautyfull but I have to say that those arabic clothes are interesting for portrait ( only for men, of course!). The combination of background, bokeh and clothes is perfect.

The ring like bokeh is a just too perfect match Wink

Well done, great portrait....

Nice use of the wide-open glow from the lens. If I may add some constructive critique, I think the image would be even better if the subject was placed in the frame in such a way that his head was surrounded by black, which would separate him from the background and showcase the glow in the clothing even more.

Thanks Klaus and Sceptic.

Sceptic I can see your point. And it is easy enough to black out the reflexes behind him in PP. After deliberating both versions I think I honestly prefer the present one. Maybe something a bit imperfect is appealing in itself? Like the sometimes slightly out of tune old Stones songs?

Yes, that's what i'm trying to tell myself.. imperfection is appealing.. like the photo i took here.. the white blurry flower in foreground is hiding a crucial part of the butterfly and it gets on my nerve.. lol

Bernhardas,

Wow is all I can say. Perfect bokeh and that is a wonderful lens you have there.

Regards,

Gavin

That's a great shot, bernhardas. Kudos! Nice pop and a natural expression from your subject. And of course I love that lens.
