with an obsolete mount like Fuji-x, I guess it wasn't too expensive.
what camera were these shot with, Nex5?

7

Price was good, partly due to bad description and photo. The rarer Fujnons usually fetch high prices on ebay.

There is currently no other 28/1.9 available anywhere that I know of.

are simple inexpensive Fuji-X to NEX adapter tubes available?

Seems good! Bokeh is neither swirly neither running away. Please post more shots. I wonder if Fuji made it or it's a cooperation.

congrats! i know how wonderful it is to 'bag' a long sought after piece of gear! and these are very good results. im not usually a fan of wide open shooting with fast lenses, but at 28mm i find there is enough DOF for my particular taste, like in the baby shot, which i think is really very good. enjoy!

Thank's for the info. I was speculating since it's hardly economical to make lens in so few pieces.

I was trying to get in touch with Fuji Japan for an interview on the X-system but it turned out that everyone who was working on it 35 years ago is retired now.

Speaking of economics... this is apparently the reason why Fuji ceased production so quickly. Wink

What beautiful images!!!

The lens is good, don't know if it's better than this. But the photographer is really good.

Too bad the images are gone.
I just bought an 28/1.9 myself, I'm really looking forward to using it.

Is the loss of the images permanent? Ain't there a backup?

The images may still be on the server, it sounds like database that tracks where they are posted was damaged(if that's how this forum is set up), the poster or Admin must go back and restore the connections, embedded pictures from other sites like Flickr should be just fine.
