I've got a Vivitar 28mm f2.8 Close Focus lens on approval. The glass elements seem fine, but it's in bad condition mechanically. It's very graunchy when turning both the focus and aperture rings, and the focus ring seems seized in some funny way. When you turn it, the part of the lens barrel that has the DOF scale turns with it.
So, it needs disassembling, cleaning, and lubricating. My question is, will that be relatively straightforward? I'm reasonable handy, but no watchmaker. As it's a prime I'm thinking it won't be too bad. |
