It seems to be sharper than my Hexanon 1.4.

No mattet which version of the 50/1,7 was used, both are sharper than the 1,4, at least with my copies.

Yep, when I tried my 50/1.7 and 50/1.4 on a test chart, 50/1.7 won. Nevertheless, I like 50/1.4 more.

You have to love the Konica lenses. I have owned both the first and last generations of the 50/1.7 and both produced stunning images.

Those pictures pop up on my screen! 50/1.7 is my next to buy lens, after the soon coming 28/3.5, 80-200/4 UC and 135/3.2.
