What do you think?

VS-50085/M42

From the official site:
Brightest MV lens in the world! - The VS-50085/C, VS-50085/M42, in 4/3" format, are the first high resolution, high performance MV CCTV lens that achieves f/No. 0.85.  Its large aperture makes this lens two times brighter than other industrial lenses, which improves viewing of work pieces in applications in which lighting is limited, inconsistent, or unavailable.  With the floating systems this lens features, it also improves viewing of fast moving objects, and work pieces that frequently change in size, shape, and specification while maintaining image quality throughout the range of travel. The floating system in this lens eliminates image quality degradation such as curvature of field that can occur while extending the lens for close-distance

Seriously don't need ever faster lens than 1.4 and luckily we have plenty of choice. On that money what people pay for this 'recorder' noname I rather buy any good 1.4 lens.

The shooter has some problems with focussing correctly in almost all of his shots, but I don't think this looks that bad:

Look at the detail on this one:

Nah, Attila is just saying how some people love to tote around ultra-fast lenses with cachet brand names as status symbols, but an equally fast lens with an obscure CCTV/TV camera maker brand on it isn't a status symbol, even if the optics are very similar.

For example, a Uber-Noktorinox f0.5 50mm is a status symbol but a CCTV Industries Inc f0.5 2-inch isn't. Wink

Doesn't pixel shading prevent a sensor from getting more light after f/1.1 or so? still get the dof yes.

If there is pixel shading (which I don't think it exists), you don't get the bokeh either...because you don't see the light coming at a sharp angle. Wink
