Strange isn't it? Why did Fuji develop the camera in this way? My Panny G1 and NEX-5 don't behave like this.
Also, I notice if you can in "M" (focus mode selector to manual mode), instead of "S" or "C" mode, the camera's main LCD has an appearance of dropping its resolution, and unless you press the shutter half way, it stays that way. You also lose the "AE-L" feature.
Peak focusing only works in "M" mode and at this lower resolution view which is annoying to me. Not to mention that you only have one colour ("white") for peak focusing.
