More later...

So, from a walk to the park today, more shots. No sun unfortunately, all shot fully open, except where noted.

not easy at f1.5 but doable with some patience, but I need a short tube to get closer for my work (shortest focusing distance is 0.8 meters)

heartfelt congratulations Klaus, and wonderful samples!

I remember also having seen really amazing photos you had taken with the f2/70mm, and I would love to hear from you how these two fabulous lenses compare in your view.
btw. I believe also at that thread you did not mention which camera you used, can you please tell us? thank you, and one more time congrats for getting this lens, even a very good looking copy complete with caps and case!

Thanks Andreas! It was shot (actually all of my recent work) with a Panasonic GH1. The 70mm and 60mm are two very different lenses,
but need a learning curve to get used to it, but I prefer the 60mm as it has popping sharpness that really jumps at you while focusing.

Btw. not many lenses can do that:

Love the colours! Nice work, Klaus!
I suppose this lens will not adapt to Canon EOS?

PostPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 7:55 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Thanks guys!

Mark: it will only cover 24x24mm format, so not for Canon FF.

Alex: correct, that was stopped down 1 stop, as even at ISO100 it was overexposed too much.

Very nice lens, of course.

In that image, the DOF seems to very high to be taken wide open. I guess it was at F/5,6-8. Not?

I'm sorry to hear you bought a dud, I'll take it off your hands for a small loss, I'll even cover shipping. Very Happy

Stunning pictures. Sharp, clear and a very special natural rendering.
I want this lens Smile

Does anyone know the image circle size for this lens?
I know the format size is similar to APS-C, but some lenses do have image circles larger than their format.
This lens on FF would be fun if it covered the sensor.

it was made for half format 24x24mm, so that should be at least 33.9mm

About the influence of stopping down that lens (sharpness, contrast, bokeh...):
