The winter sun and small dof give this shot a surreal "toy" feeling.
I like it |
Agreed.
Here is a video of the new Peugeot 280GTi, which may or may not have been shot with a Tamron SP 60B

God they are getting like modern lenses aren't they. Big, plastic and with not a great deal of benefit over the same optic from 30yrs ago
But nice photo none the less |

Hello
It has been a while since my last post. Not enough time for photography.
Yesterday I went to a Renault enthusiastic meeting at Montlhéry. I did lot of photographs at this circuit in the past, this time I decided to try dynamic pictures with MF lenses. Tamron 60B and... 55B (but see another topic for this one http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic,p,1474692.html#1474692 )
5D + 60B can do this ! (clic for Hi-Res)
~f8
f2.8 !!!
Conclusion :
- there is a lot of scrap compared with a L is canon lens
- all the interrested of the lens is to shoot at 2.8 (otherwise, I would use the 70-200 IS F4 on 7D... a real weapon !)
- so it is not possible to follow the run of vehicles, there is few possibilities to shoot !
- on sunny day, f2.8 @ 100iso meaning hi speed, wheels looks stoped
- of course, lens is heavy, we get tired quicly
- sharpness and CA of this lens are really high level, a real pro lens even 30 years later !
- lot of satisfaction to perform good action photographs with this combo ...as the pro in the 70's
- I had lot of comments when I was walking with this bazooka _________________ DSLR : EOS 350D, 300D, 7D, 5D
