Today I visited the "Foto-Börse in Deidesheim" (in the backwoods of Krautland).

There I could get a "Carl Zeiss Jena Triotar 135/4" in a very good condition.
The dealer offered it for 25 Euro but after a hard buisiness negotiation finally I could beat him down to 23 Euro... Wink

I like this lens very much.
It fits not only as a capstone to my collection, but has a real nice charakter and picture quality.

Tonight I will sleep very well. Cool

Nothing mysterious:
A long, very nostalgic aluminium tube. No A/M switch. Aperture settings from 4 to 22 (very much aperture blades by the way) and a ring for manual focussing... (O.K., I know you meant photos Wink ).

I think to walk around, I am fully supported with this 135/4 together with my Pancolar 50/1.8.

Congrats Smile See if the front cell can be screwed out like in the older, chrome version. Turning it about two turns out will much improve the bokeh, and the lens will focus closer - but you'll lose infinity focus, the focus range will extend to about 25m only.

Nice shots, it may have been a cheap lens but it's a nice performer.

Great results - like it a lot!
I wonder if the Triotar and the Trioplan deliver similar results or if they would differ?

Cheers,

They are different, Triotar is more close than newest lenses. You can see samples with both lenses in Gallery. In my opinion Trioplan has special character, Triotar has don't. Triotar a good lens with any special personality.
