nice colors and bokeh this oly Carsten!
how is the new 40D? did it make better photo than the 350D?

You ask if the 40D makes better photos than the 350D?
Actually, I couldn't say. But I don't think so. At least not for what I need.
The high ISO performance is much better, though and the extended dynamic range is fascinating!
But the main thing is that it offers a lot more features and the 40D is a pleasure to use!

Now, having two bodies also gives me a great feeling of quick versatility and safety.

As far as the Zuiko 50 is concerned, yes, that's a very nice lens.

Usually I don´t like such "WOW-comments", but I have to say: wonderful bokeh ! Cool

Nice shots, Carsten!
Please, keep us informed of your feelings about MF and the 40D.
Does the Liveview really help so much in focusing?

Jes.

I think this is better than 350D, second one is brilliant.

Actually, Jes, I never use it. I love to shoot with a viewfinder, it's just you and the subject, everything else is gone and the 40D has a fantastic viewfinder.

Live View functionality is simply fantasic to use, especially with tripod use and if you have a Zoom-in function (I have x5 and x10) with your Live View.

I've used it extensively, when it's practical, to nail down the focus on a shot.

It might be useful if you need perfect focus and, as Fotal said, you shoot with a tripod. But that's not my typical photography.
