Castlefest is a four day event for those who like 'fantasy', roleplaying, re-enactment and more of these things. Lots of people dress up in their favoured style and the scene looks like one large fairytale from somewhere long gone.
The event is popular amongst photographers and as i normally walk around in nature hunting for birds and insects, i decided to do something different, took a set of lenses and camera's to record human beings in their natural behavior.
This series was made with my Pentax K20 and the Jena Sonnar 2.8/180mm.
Aperture was between 4 and 5.6

Thanks.
This was only at the start of the festival when the crowd had yet to come. Later on i changed the large and somewhat intimidating Sonnar for its smaller nephew, the J9 that proved to be a better choice in crowdy areas. As soon as the results of that series is ready to post, we will see some more weird dressed, but very friendly people. _________________

Interesting and strange-looking characters, great images.
Looks like a meeting of Steampunk and what are frequently called 'Renaissance Fairs' here in the US. _________________ Craig
