Simple Film Washer

Here's a photo washer I made from rigid plastic tube and a plastic disc. It works fabulously and cost $7.50 USD. The design is totally scalable so you could make this for 30 reels instead of 3, if you'd like.

Great, simple idea David. It could be done for free if you know a plumber with some pipe offcuts. Does the water affect the cyanoacrylate adhesive in prolonged use?

It shouldn't. Super glue is, I think, non-soluble in water. I've used super glue on things that have been in water for extended periods (quick repairs to shower caddies, etc.) and never had a problem with disbondment or anything. Epoxy would be okay, too. Any glue that bonds plastic and doesn't expand would actually be a-okay to use (including PVC cement.)
