I have posted some of these pics elsewhere but thought I would share them here . This lens came to me with the aperture frozen wide open so I have never used it. for fun I shot it the other day and I feel pleased with the results. I just might have to restore it ! All shots other than one dog pic have not been sharpened or color corrected and of course they are all at 2.8

the first one seems really nice, but the second doesn't seem to be in focused. I really like the third picture.

Asanuma was one of the typical Tokina distributors.
They may have dealt only in Tokina, I will have to check.
Lentar is another brand that was almost exclusively Tokina.

My Palar lens looks more or less the same as the on pictured by nukemall above (after seeing the shots here, I may give it another outing):
