This lens came with my Century Graphic 23 in mint condition, perfect glass and fully working shutter.
Took me a while to form much of an opinion on this lens, at first I was disappointed by it's sharpness and thought it was just 'competent', then I decided that it is sharp, but not impressively so, so I'll call it merely 'good'.
It does the job competently and the results are good, but I'm still underwhelmed by it and will replace it when funds allow.

Yes, the lighter tones look good, there's a loss of detail in the darker tones of the darker pictures that seems more than underexposure ? _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

Cheers, I'm still learning the ropes with this camera. I forgot to post a pic of the lens itself:

Probably down to my processing. They are all shot on Kodak Industrex MX125 x-ray film which is only blue sensitive so tonality is different to a pan or ortho film. It is an extremely contrasty film so I stand develop it in Microdol-X 1:3 to get a continuous tone result. I then have to play a bit with the contrast and curves in photoshop and I haven't perfected the technique yet. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |
