Long time no see...

Got some inspiration and brought the camera to the kitchen.
Shot with A900 and Flek 35, mostly wide open or one click stopped down.

I had no pine nuts, so I used walnuts and almonds, at least as tasteful IMHO.
I skipped all fancy ingredients such as garlic and lemon.

Roast nuts

Mixing action

Mixed nuts

Add a large lump of parmesan cheese and you can never have too much of basil

And olive oil is mandatory

Salt and pepper and pesto is finished...

Pasta al dente

Some meat for the hungry

Best looking plate for the kids

One more plate for me with some extra black pepper

Now let me see your lunch preparation Smile

Great subject, thanks for posting.
Tomorrow will be Sunday. I'll prepare a "Paella à la Valenciana": a delicious spanish food with a lot of "fruits de mèr" or sort of that. I could upload some shots but my dictionary is limited in many subjects to describe the components! But i swear I'll think of you when eating!

Last... Never invite me to dinner, with a plate small like yours, i'll get at least 3 of them!

Very Happy

Renato

Great series.
Dare I suggest that you try your pesto with only pine nuts - they have a delicate taste that goes better with the basil's aroma, and use a mix of parmigiano and pecorino (around 50-50) to add some extra spicy feel.
