The flange distance of this PL is very short! I cut away 7mm of the rear metal part of the lens in order to achieve infinity focus. Focusing is easy, thanks to the China made M52/M42 helicoid! Very Happy Very Happy

Projector lens, so all these pictures are made WO, as you don't have an adjustable aperture?

Not exactly wide-open. I put a black rubber ring of suitable size in front of the front lens to restrict the incoming light (don't want to open up the lens to put it in between the lens elements). WO is a bit soft. After I have done that, the lens f-stop should be around f/1.4 or f/1.5. All my pictures above were with the rubber ring on. Smile

Wonderful pictures and very nice IQ. I'm very tempted to pick one up. But I can tell that there's a good photographer behind these samples also..

Yes, pick one up quickly before the price goes up! Everything is getting more and more pricey these days! Sad
I am not a good photographer at all, but used to be a radiographer though. That was 28 years ago!

Radio or Photo is maybe in some way connected Wink
I am a radio engineer, but I love taking pictures!

The most important is the result - you have produced some very good pictures with... a rubber aperture ring!!! Congratulations!

Good luck!

Works good! So you can take a rubber ring with a different hole to change the effect.
