There were even more of the bodies about, fit with a variety of lenses and variations of the shutter. The first generation was the Mamiya 135/Minolta Himatic G - supposedly designed by Mamiya for Minolta and OEMed by Cosina. Also sold as Konica C35, and under many other brands names, with varying lenses.
The followup was the Vivitar 35ES/Minolta 7sII/Revue 400SE. These shared the famous 40/1.7 lens designed by Elcan, their only difference is that the Vivitar/Revue replaced the manual aperture control of the Minolta with a GN coupled auto flash mode - better for flash, but without the dual use as a (unmetered) all-manual setting. |

A fantastic lens. I use mine quite often. The lens was a design collaboration between Minolta and Leitz. This lens is also used on the Revue SE and Minolta Hi-Matic 7sII. I slapped a vented hood on mine and love it.

The HiMatic 7s is the last of the big series; the 7s-II is significant smaller with a 40mm 1.7 lens. |
