I've searched everywhere I can find but no help. Some of my lenses are marked CF. Most or all of these have a front element that rotates. What means CF?

Close focus normally, certainly on Tamrons.

Based on http://adaptall-2.org/nomenclature/nomenclature.html
CF on Tamron means "Continuous Focus".

"CF" on high quality projector lenses means "curved field" bye the way.
They are made to compensate the slight curvature of unglassed slides.

Yes, my SP 28-80 is billed as a macro lens, and it bears the "CF" inscription on the front trim ring.
