- photographed in the woods near the beach of Domburg, the Netherlands
- stiched from ~8 shots
- 2 rows of 4 landscape formate/cyl. projection

honestly I don't know the type of trees.
looked like hundreds of corkscrews around me Wink

It's difficult to tell from this small image but they look very much like oak trees to me. The strange shape of the branches is common in oaks growing in exposed situations, near the coast for example. Not sure of the reason exactly, maybe it's due to the wind affecting the direction of growth.

There were similar twisted gum trees near to the coast where I was staying in Australia:

really very similar growth ... I'll ask some locals from Domburg, but as I see
this pic it will be most likely oak trees ...

That is what I think of it too; we have here similar growth in the dunes of several types of trees and bushes under the influence of the salty wind.
