As only a Merlin can sound. There was a Lancaster flying about too with another four Merlins... It was the highlight of an enjoyable day.

G'Day from Oz.
Where was this shot taken, what was the occasion & was the Lancaster from the "Battle Of Britain" flight?
I was in Englad in 2001, at Biggin Hill, for an airshow there, & we were supposed to see the B.B. flight, but the Lanc developed a problem on the way, so we never saw it.
On the day we were there, an AeroCobra crashed into the ground only a few hundred meters away from us, killing the pilot & TOTALLY destroying the plane.
Gotta love those Merlins!
Cheers, Pickles.
