Looks like new, for a demo:

No caps to lens, but found a cap that fits from the junk bin. Got the battery charged (how
many photos do you get with one charge?) date/time set, and hope to do some shooting
tomorrow.

I don't see the marks on the wheel, Bill Laughing
Such a nice camera !I am happy for you , hope you'll love it and make great pics with ! I hear that's a good lens .I am curious about your opinion on this little camera , after the first shooting days .Enjoy it !
PS Are you going to use it as AF or mainly as a platform for MFL leaving af for tle little OLY ?

Jes and Klaus, thanks, unfortunately today was windy/rainy (aftershock from storms down south) so didn't get to
try it downtown. After I drive home, an hour and a half later the winds/rain stop, sun comes out, sheesh. This is
late afternoon, macro mode:

Hope to have more interesting subjects tomorrow.

Klaus, thank you! I need to go into the menu and stop that silly beep sound. Smile

Hope to improve when I learn which mode is best for a given situation.

I love mine now that I've given up trying to manual focus with it & manual lenses, I just use it with the 30/2 which a brilliant lens too.
Enjoy your use of it.

Nice first series, Bill!
Which lens did you get, the 20-50 or the 18-55 IS?.
Regards,
Jes.

Trev, thanks, will be looking for the 30/2. Actually if I had the 30 and the 55-200, would be all I
need for this. Smile

Poilu, thanks, still early days, hope to improve on clarity in the next batch.

Jes, lens is the 20-50, not bad performer (in the right hands). Smile

In yours for sure it will be a good performer Wink

Nice work Bill, I really like my NX100, I should use it more, but I caught this damn obsession with film atm Wink

The 2/30 is 90ukp brand new on ebay, pretty amazing price for what a good lens it is. I must get one when I can afford it.

In the meantime, the 20-50 is a very good lens and serves me well.

Jes and Ian, thanks guys, been doing some experimenting:

only did a couple of tries and got this, just looking at the lcd:

and then the 3.5/28

which got me this, same method, looking at the lcd, converted to BW:

and then I decided to do a little RTFM'ing, turned off the all the damn sounds, and
discovered The Green Bar of Truth, that Attila mentioned:

all with the Hex 3.5/28

last one was thru my dirty truck window and it will take more practice with MF lenses, but I'm encouraged

and a subject from above using the green bar for focus

Light and time of day wasn't particularly my friend.
