My first chance to really use this lens properly, its a bit soft wide open unfortunately, but very sharp stopped down (though to be fair, any lens at f8-f11 is going to be sharp!)

Excellent results. Crispy images and great use of light. Natural or studio setup?

Thanks! The setup was-

1st shot:
Shoot thru umbrella picture top right corner
Strip box bottom left to balance out shadows a bit

2nd shot:
Strip box bottom right of frame

Both had a little bit of natural light diffused through a white curtain as well.

Excellent, especially love #2. getting beautiful light from strobes and a softbox is easy, getting beautiful natural looking light takes skill, and you pulled it off perfectly.

Thanks Nisseliten, to be fair, most of the light was artificial... Smile The natural light provided a bit of fill.

Thank you Smile

I'm starting to quite like this lens for food photography! Having virtually no MFD limitation is very nice.
