Don't hurry, just take your time and wait for a beaten-up 18 or 30 cm Sonnar with short round tripod mount, like this one:

They will have the same screw mount for the adapter _________________ my Ebay auctions

is the way to know its the right tripod mount if it says 18cm or 30cm/contax?
The sonar 180mm Olympia that is for exakta mount and m42 is different diameter, than the above one you posted right? |

The 18 and 30cm Sonnars were made with both screw mounts. Only the ones with the short round tripod mount have the fine pitch.
And both screw mounts had adapters for M42, Exakta, Flektometer or Flektoskop. _________________ my Ebay auctions

Thank you very much for this info, finding one of those would def. be easier than constructing one. Esp. if this 'fine pitch' type threading is less common. |

Thanks!
Just to double check the two bottom attachments have identical diameters? the 18cm and the 25cm or 30?
Also, I saw online that the 'Jupiter 6' was based on the Sonnar design it says 77mm. Do you think that could work? |

Yes! same diameter
Jupiter 6: believing that would be pretty overoptimistic!
No, no sample images
