Average DIY Joe can't make it in my opinion, with little brain silly really, Samsung rather present focus peaking, greater magnifier focusing aid in next firmware than this conversion ...

Samsung's marketing department is geared towards low-end consumers who live on facebook, they really have no idea how to market and maintain a line of cameras for serious amateurs.

Interesting stuff.

This guy has done something similar, plus, if I understand it correctly, actually reverse engineering the NX protocol (as opposed to "just" using the chip of an existing lens). Wish he would publish his findings, or at least sell them to Tokina/Sigma/Samyang.

P.S: Was this thread to old to revive?
