(yes I know Kiev is really from the 80's)
but it looks pretty much 1936 as Canon is from 1999.

Lenses 50/2 and 50/1.8 look surprisingly similar if you just think the plastics away.
Also the black-silver coloring is about the same and even the finger wheel.

Somehow the Kiew looks more modern to me. Confused A bit like my Pana LX-3.
