Thanks for sharing.
Very very interesting info. I first thought that all old 135/1.8 lenses (except Pentax-A) have the same diagram
I had a Mitake 135/1.8 but already sold it last year.
Excuse me to add the diagram of Zeiss 135/1.8, just for adding comparison list
Taken from: http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/detail.asp?idlens=300
I still can not find the diagram of Pentax-A 135/1.8 .... _________________ Carl Zeiss Jena: Biotar 58/2 1Q, DDR Pancolar 80/1.8 MC, Biotar 75/1.5, Biotar 10cm/2, DDR Sonnar 135/3.5 MC

Thanks very much to Nixland and Aoleg for those optical diagrams!
Its a case of "the more, the merrier" so if you know of any more differing optical diagrams for other 135mm f1.8 lenses please post them here...Hopefully I will be able to incorporate them all into a single image.
EDIT!
OK, here are those two put into the same format for easy comparison:
It seems Pentax must have been very impressed with the Sigmatels optical design and so they decided to copy it...Its almost identical except for one extra element! (or did Sigma copy Pentax?) |
