That's VG esp as you had the problem of the white sky in the back ground.

I like it.
With Zeiss 100-300mm, I think Graham used 300mm. not really close.but not far. If it was in zoo, its' common. If it's wild you must sneak, behind trees. or it's cropped one

Thanks for the comments, I was also impressed by the way the lens dealt with the light Smile

The picture is cropped and of course it was used on my 60D with the 100-300mm which meant the effective focal length was about 480mm in total. I was visiting a place called Birdworld, where many exotic birds are looked after. The heron was a visiter as well, although a little wilder than me Smile He dived into the penguin area and stole a fish, then landed on the tree before disappearing into the forest. Great stuff Laughing
