As you can recall, I've shown views from some of the Barcelona highs. The first one was from the Collserola hill where you could view the Montjuic hill(1), Miramar(2), the cable car towers (3) and the Sail hotel (4) at the backside.

Then I moved to Miramar and we could see from there the city from the seaside, close views of the above spots.

Now I've moved to the La Rovira hill, another high where a nice landscape view of Barcelona can be watched. This is the place where the anti-aircraft batteries were located during the civil war (1936-1939). The place has been kept, and the place where the batteries were located are still visible, as well as the bunkers that held the commandment.

This makes a triangle with the other two views, so you can see Montjuic and Miramar on one side and Collserola on the other side.

These are views from La Rovira:

Very interesting, Jes, thanks for sharing!!!

As a reference, could you please point in one of the views, where the Parc Guell is?

Hi Orio,
Thanks for your comments Smile

It's difficult to view the Parc Guell from my pictures, there are buildings in the middle.
It will be at the right side facing the sea.

Here is a map with the main spots:

Beautiful place, beautiful pictures. Thankyou Jes, I wish I was there now, not here in windy, wet and dreary England! Smile

Hi Peter, glad you like it. Smile
This was a couple of weeks ago. Now we're also cloudy and windy. Not raining this week, but temperatures going down as it should be in this time of the year.

One weekend ago we went to Tortosa, near Tarragona and we got an impressive rainfall of 140 liter per sq meter during the night. Streets were flooded, cars were playing as submarines and once the storm passed, a thick layer of mug covered the city.
Even inside the hotel there were severe water leaks on the ceilings.

Next day I was trying to drive out of the city (it took us more than one hour!, it's a small city), and could'nt take any pictures, but my wife took a few of the cars under water from inside the car.
I have to ask her for them.

Regards.

Thanks Poilu and Klaus for your comments.

I visit Barcelona once per day Wink (only work days hopefully).
But it's true. It's an interesting city.

Sorry!

I missed the view from La Rovira to Collserola... Sad

The observatory is the silver dome on the first picture.
