Thanks. It's actually a tritone conversion (although very subtle). I prefer it over plain sepia because the third color gives the image (I was going to say "the print"...) more "air". _________________ Orio, Administrator

I mean depth, breath, shimmer.... the plain sepia treatment flattens it all - in my opinion.
Here's something about Tritone treatment:

Sun? Unknown here since the start of astronomical Spring
Do you like jazz? When I look at my picture, I hear the sound of "Pools" by Don Grolnick (found in Steps Ahead records also) playing in my head.
P.S. "Signorini" is male (and quite old-times sounding, not really used since at least first half of 20th century, today only used in an ironical way). If you like to refer to the young ladies, you must use "signorine" _________________ Orio, Administrator

I also like the toning, Orio. This is something I have worked on as well.
Guess I'm going to post a "how-to" for a nice toning effect which I have done once.
Just needs some re-editing...

Orio, I do like jazz, but I don't get much time to listen because I spend a lot of time arranging and playing music myself. I will check it out, thanks for the tip.

Oops! I certainly didn't mean signorini!
I remember many years ago singing in the G & S operetta "The Gondoliers". I was one of the Gondolieri (in the chorus), but I had one solo line to sing: "Buon' giorno, signorine! Servitori umilissimi! Per qui questi fiori - Questi fiori bellissimi?" I still don't know what it means
(I just looked up the lyrics, so I can now see how to spell signorine correctly.) |

Yep, that was my typo, sorry.
I think I understand what you mean about Don Grolnick:

Your picture and this music reminds me of the 60s moody black and white movies. |

Look for his whole album "Hearts and Numbers".
Another track that I feel fits the mood of this image is "Self Portrait" by Mike Mainieri, you will find it listed as Steps Ahead though.
These two titles are amongst my absolute favorite tracks.
I'm much into contemporary jazz - the serious kind (not the elevator music like kind) _________________ Orio, Administrator

Not necessarily, there are plugins.
B&W Workshop Pro by Fred Miranda is a very good one. _________________ Orio, Administrator

It was a sad day for me when Miles Davis passed away, another genius.
I like the 50's and 60's jazz scene with Coltrane, Dolphy, Stitt, Latif, etc.
Favorites now are Gato Barbieri (even back when), Patricia Barber (Cafe
Blue album is a standout), Holly Cole Trio, just to name a few. I forgot
Bill Evans, the finest jazz pianist that ever lived.... |

I don't know, try asking on the Fred Miranda forum - or him directly. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Until some time ago Adobe used to bundle Photoshop 5 with some scanners.
That's how I got to register photoshop: by upgrading from a bundle copy.
Now unfortunately they put the Elements software in the bundle. Which is a very nice software for 95% of the things that you need to do with image editing, but when you want to dive really deep into professional image editing, it's not enough. _________________ Orio, Administrator
