Vivitar ( Minolta MD mount ) and Nikon

I acquired a minty Viv close focus wide angle lens, but it's in Minolta MD mount.

I would hate to use it with an adapter. Is it possible/reasonable to change the mount for a Nikon one ( not by myself, of course )?

It may depend on the specific lens - you might post a pic of the mount end of the lens. Probably a conversion would cost more than the lens... so maybe the better course is to look for another in the Nikon mount.

Wink Minolta MD bodies are cheap and plentiful... just a suggestion...

Sooner or later it will come to this I'm afraid. There are so many interesting lenses that don't fit on Nikon Wink

The Vivitar is a fairly common lens, the mount you want will be along shortly. Wink
