has anyone compare pentax 300/4 with nikkor 300/4.5 ?

Pentax M*300/4 or A*300/4. these has identical optic, better than Pentax K300.

but what about Nikkor 300/4.5 AI (non ED), 300/4.5 ED (ED-IF) ai/ais, are these nikkor any better?

I had both Nikon , ED lens is significantly better.

Seems like it is no point to get the non ED version.
Mine M*300 and A*300 are razor sharp too, but they too are non ED.
