Presently, what is the most affordable Leica-R lens
in the 28 - 35mm range?

Tamron Leica-R adapter + 28mm Tamron Smile

Both in f/2.8 verskon. All ok lenses.

Yeah, the 28/2.8 is not that expensive.

Least expensive one will be the first model 35mm f2.8 Elmarit-R, often described in adverts as "single cam". The very first ones made had feet/meter focus scales in red and white, later changed to yellow and white. To the best of my knowledge, all the single cam 35/2.8 lenses are the same optical design. Because the specification is relatively modest, buying hysteria has yet to force up the secondand prices.
