That's interesting, because the first things I read about version 5 (by Sony!) was only the addition of compatibility for the Sony adapter.
Do these improvement also apply for the NEX-3? _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!

Yes i have the 3d panorama sweep now on my nex3, and the bootup time is a lot faster with the lens cap on almost instantly. _________________ My web site www.digital-darkroom.weebly.com

The update is pointless for most C3/5N users - all new features for them are applicable to the Alpha AF mount adapter only. But it brings the original 3/5/VG-10 a big step closer to the firmware features of the current models! _________________ Sevo |

Hey thanks for the update. I'd seen this on the Uk site where they only mention the adapter compatibility addition so thought would give it a miss. Now I must update my nex5 tonight! |

Didn't I have 3D-pano in my NEX-3 (v4) already? I don't know.
Anyway, I have just updated to V5 and yes, it seems that boot-up time is considerably shorter. Perhaps, it's just wishful thinink, but I really have the impression.
Let's hope battery drain has been reduced as well. _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!
