Does anyone know about this lens?.
The name is impressive, I hope the lens quality would be up to the name Wink

Nope, you can't go wrong with any German lenses. They are not made lenses for Chinese market like Cosina did Confused

Nice lens, but too short register to fit a common (D)SLR!
Macro works of course...

Since 2008 the camera environment has changed a lot.
Nowadays with the EVIL cams this lens has become really useful:

Samall size that fits well in the micro 4/3. Surprising quality. My copy might be defective because I cannot focus infinity. Probably good for portraiture (80mm FF equiv.).

Some tests on the E-P1, ISO400. Little post processing.

Seen by itself:

Some tests:

Now I have to try it for portraits.

Regards.

Looks cool Jes,
IMHO Steinheil lenses are not up to CZJ and Meyer both optically and by built quality but are close Smile
Ah i miss that silver pen body, the black one is not so sexy Smile

Thanks for your comment, Stefan, I have good feelings with this lens.

Yep, the silver one may be sexy.
To me is anything but discrete Wink. Shines too much for candid shots, draws too much the attention...
The black one is much more discrete.

Regards.
