i can get this lens locally is anyone had experience with it? is it going to worth my while?

I had a Tokina RMC 25-50, it was crap, low contrast, lots of purple fringing, lots of distortion at 25mm end, poor colours, medicore sharpness, I sold it after 1 test.

it already tells me that the asking price is too high.
hmm i guess ill still test the lens out of curiosity and post a sample or two maybe the 28mm version is different?
(it has a red ring around the filter thread "so it must be fantastic")
