That was always supposed to be a cheapy, not that great lens, but I guess you just proved the opposite!

it's nice lens, i like that it has minimum focusing distance of 18cm. only thing is that it lacks a bit of contrast

I had a chance to try this lens once. Met the seller at a cafe.
Unfortunately the lens mount (Nikon) hit my 5D mirror. So I pass on it.
Later on my friend told me that it can be modified to fit in 5D, but the lens was already sold.
Well, glad to know from you that the lens is lack of contrast Smile

my version is in OM mount

yes, the contrast could be better but that can be easily fixed in PP

My copy of the Sigma 24mm is very sharp at all distances except close focus.

Dunno. Not at all cheap in USA. Very expensive. I want one badly. Check every day. Cannot afford. Sad

i got mine in a big lens and camera lot 4 years ago

No one wanted a FD mount Sigma about 4 years ago and got my superwide II for £8
