I bought a Canon 60D (upgrading from a 30D). These are mainly the Nikkor 55mm but a few are the 105mm.

This is full frame. I didn't think about getting stung. Luckily I wasn't.

All hand held, 99% at ISO 100.

Where do you find them?
Your garden?

I just walk around neighborhoods in Portland. They are everywhere and they are tiny!

Nice. I like the tight crops and I like the composition of the group. REminds me of a glossy magazine.

Really beautiful ones. My faves are: 2, 4, 6 and 7. In number 6 the inflorescences look like hovering rocks. I like that a lot.

Love the wings on the bee shot.

I'm somewhat de-sensitized to bees, my grandfather kept a couple dozen hives. Walking between those hives was an intense experience the first few times! Of all the hours I spent there I only got stung once, a hundred yards or more away from the hives. They're amazingly passive critters and of course the act of stinging is fatal to a honeybee.
