thank you attila - as i was just replying to klaus on another forum.. this lens flares quite easily and it takes a bit of getting used to in the IR.. while the photos above were with an internally modifed camera.. this version came with built-in filters but has been modified with a rear clip to allow the use of FUJI TAC filters cut to the appropriate size...
this one was a little beat up.. but relatively inexpensive

hard to get a full frame IR conversion..... turns out that there is an IR shutter monitor in the nikon D700 full frame camera that leaks light and cannot be disabled.. otherwise i have been craving a full frame IR camera and would have bought a used D700 and converted it by now. _________________ --bob

thank you all!... i have been spending quite a good deal of time with IR in the past couple of years.. and some of the older manual focus lenses work quite well in the IR.. nikkor-ud 20/3.5, nikkor 20/3.5, fisheye-nikkor 16/3.5, nikkor 18/4 and the nikkor 28/2 most recently have been quite successful
more to come if you all like this work. _________________ --bob
