When I bought some gear this was included:-

The lens is quite good at close up min 0.25metre (or for me about 10") but I'm pleased with these results at longer distances...straight from a supermarket scan untouched by me.

Nice ! I had no luck with Tamron 28 and 24 both were low performer on my 4/3 and m4/3 bodies.

Indeed unlucky for two Tamron lenses, my version might be the original 28mm f2.5 as either there is play in the aperture stop or it's f2.5...as the aperture ring moves slightly past the f2.8
