It's 2 different lens. Each lens has its own character. I had Canon EF 100/2 (and once 700-400mm f/4) which I think has the same character with 70-200/2.8 and also have this Trioplan 100/2.8.

Below is one of the reason I bought the Trioplan. I think the Canon lens wont be able to get the bokeh like this Smile

You could check the sample shots of Trioplan in this thread :

This provokes a question: How many Trioplans did Meyer make? Not just the 100/2.8 in alu or black -- I won a strange auction awhile back.

What I won: Meyer Trioplan 100/4.5. What I received: Two medium-format lens elements that look like they need a shutter assembly. I wonder whether to search for a shutter or iris assembly, or find a tube they can be mounted in, or just sell them as-is. (No, I don't have them with me, and I won't return home for a month.) Is anyone here familiar with slower Trioplans? Do they give good bokeh?

I know a few ones , in shorter focal length like 50mm SLR lenses+ built in lenses to different format cameras like 6x6 etc.

I don't expect others than average performance, bokeh, sharpness.
