Hi

I have a very nice Voigtlaender Vitessa L but rangefinder doesn't work.
When I look inside the viewfinder I see the adjsting square but when I turn the focusing knob, nothing moves at all in the view finder.

I opened the top to have a look. Mirror is in place on the prism.
But there's a swinging arm moving when I rotate the focusing knob, it has a rectangular metal frame which is empty.
Do you know whether it should contain a glass or not ?

From what I have gathered reading about rangefinder systems, you are missing the beam splitter, the half mirror I mean.

An example of repair

I have a separate rangefinder whose beamsplitter has lost silvering, I think I can find one from the same source as explained in the linled blog.

Thank you very much. Very Happy

I feel the swinging arm metal frame shouldn't be empty.
Should this beam splitter mirror be in this frame ?
